Recently read a proposition that certain clear cut area's were going to be made non-motorized hunting areas. The theory is that it will increase the moose herd because they will somewhat act as safe areas... because the hunters are getting fat and dependent on ATV's .... so they wouldn't hunt there.

I don't mind the idea, but an ATV sure would be nice to pick up a 1,500 pound moose shot a couple miles back in the bush...
